You + CNT

CNT invites you to put your skills to work solving urban challenges. Join us for a weekend of high-energy collaboration where you'll have access to CNT's data as well as 65 or more sustainability data sets from the City of Chicago. Work with CNT's staff and models to create tools and new metrics focused on making Chicago more sustainable. You'll meet like-minded programmers, pitch your ideas, form teams, get to work, present your results, and win prizes!

Thursday, the conversation begins
Hackathon participants are invited to join the discussion, Reinventing Chicago. Bring your ideas to the table with Chicago's civic, business, and IT communities. Let's hear how our city can be smarter, more sustainable, and work better. Hackathon participants do not need to purchase tickets to this event.

Friday, you'll form your team
Spend the evening mingling with other participants and urban thinkers, pitching ideas, and forming your team.

Saturday, we'll get to work
CNT staff will be on hand for consultations as your team puts ideas into coding action. CNT data to be made available during the event includes:
The Housing + Transportation (H+T) Affordability Index
The Abogo Transportation Cost API
The Transit Oriented Development Database

City of Chicago data includes mapping and statistical data on:
• Sustainable Development
• Energy
• Transportation
• Water
• Buildings
• Parks, Open Space, and Food Access
• Climate

Sunday, we'll celebrate our successes
Present your team's new tool to our guest judges:

• Jamie Jones, Kellogg School of Management
• Daniel X. O'Neil, Smart Chicago Collaborative
• Orlando Saez, CityScan
• Guy Turner, Hyde Park Venture Partners

The winning team will receive Nexus 7 tablets from Google, I-GO car sharing memberships, and a fundraising video for their app by Mothlight Pictures!

Please reserve your place by October 1st.
